Window Museum

Open 24/7 365 days a year our museum come rain or shine tells the fantastic and extraordinary stories of Ipswich’s rich maritime heritage, stretching right back to the town’s Anglo-Saxon beginnings.
So next time you are down on Albion Quay, come to see our current display. Our exhibitions are regularly changed by a group of enthusiastic members. See below for a gallery of post exhibitions.
The Window Museum is easy to find along the Waterfront between Stoke Bridge and the Old Custom House, on Albion Quay, right next door to the Londis Convenience Store.
If you are interested in helping us with this unique and exciting museum project to protect and promote the town’s maritime heritage, email us at info@ipswichmaritimetrust.org.uk

We love hearing from people who can add stories, memories, or details to the images in our archive. If something sparks a memory—or you have information that could help bring these moments in history to life—please drop us a line at. Every bit of knowledge helps us preserve these images while there are still people who remember the ships, events, and places they show.
If you have photographs or images you think might interest us, or if you’re researching a particular time or place around the dock from about 1850 onwards, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
