The Window Museum, open 24/7, is probably the smallest maritime museum in the UK. It’s currently showing an exhibition of artwork created by pupils from St Helens Primary School and Combs Ford Primary School as part of IMT’s Ipswich Heritage Harbour Project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The children were inspired by Ipswich’s maritime past and present, and notable local seafarers, such as Thomas Cavendish and Thomas Eldred, who were the second English navigators (after Drake) to sail around the world, from 1586-88.
